Brief Description Starting from the car park of the Shady Oak, we climb up to Windgather Rocks for the first stop. From here we proceed to Pym Chair, Cats Tor and Shining Tor. Nearly all the climbing is done before the lunch break; after Shining Tor it is all downhill and more or less flat until to final short climb up to the Shady Oak at the end.If the weather is really bad, an alternative shorter walk can be done if members wish.

Brief Description From the pub we walk up to meet the Sandstone Trail, leaving it shortly to pass Dropping Stone Farm and down to Harthill Village. We continue to Fullers Moor and up to Brown Knoll. A couple of short steep climbs to Maidens Castle (an Iron Age Fort) to re-join the Sandstone Trail. Good views of the Welsh hills and Dee estuary - weather permitting. The Sandstone Trail passes "Mad Allen's Hole" and Raw Head and returns to the pub. An undulating walk with good tracks/lanes/paths - approx 12 stiles and some short steep climbs.
